KWARA STATE, NIGERIA - The Kwara State Artisan Congress has lauded Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his consistent support to artisans across the state since 2019. 

The group's chairman, Alhaji Jimoh Adesina, gave the praise during a brief meeting attended by the Governor and other stakeholders in Ilorin, yesterday. 

Alhaji Adesina, highlighted that the government's social investment schemes have enabled the group to acquire land for their permanent secretariat, currently under construction.

He also noted that the current administration has provided various empowerment initiatives, improving the socio-economic lives of Kwarans, particularly the business community.

The group, requested for a continual support of the government for the Congress, particularly in the area of employment opportunities and mobility aides, among other demands.

In his remarks, Governor AbdulRazaq assured the artisans and other segments of the society of his administration commitment in prioritizing the welfare of Kwarans, through various social programmes and strengthening legitimate businesses and initiatives.
